Composition: composed of gripping section and damping section
Purpose: The spiral shock absorber dissipates the vibration energy through the impact with the cable, so as to eliminate or reduce the vibration generated under the action of the stratospheric wind when the cable is running, and protect the cable and the hardware.
Features:
1. The grip section (small aperture section) clamps the optical cable and does not work for vibration reduction.
2. The damping section (large aperture section) plays the role of damping.

According to the length of the line and the ratio of the annual average running tension of the cable to its ultimate tensile strength, determine the number of spiral damper used in each gear, see the table below:
